We support many of Kendal’s events and festivals. For an event or festival to be eligible it needs to bring people to Kendal and increase footfall within the BID area.
Kendal BID is keen to support events and festivals that bring vibrancy, footfall, and economic benefit to our town. Our Event and Festival Grants aim to encourage local businesses and community groups to invest in activities that celebrate Kendal and attract visitors. There is no restriction on what the grant can be used for, as long as it contributes to delivering a successful event or festival experience.

This funding can be used for a variety of event and festival initiatives, such as:
- Hosting cultural, arts, or music performances that showcase local talent
- Organising seasonal markets, food festivals, or community celebrations
- Providing entertainment, workshops, or activities that engage a wide audience
- Enhancing marketing and promotion to attract visitors and increase footfall
- Improving event infrastructure such as staging, lighting, or accessibility features
